Eh, I guess I'm an easy fan to please. I really enjoyed this episode (and the wedding episode).

The more shows you do, the more ideas you use up. By the end "Seinfeld" had gone from coffee shop observations to George navigating an arcade video game across a busy street.

It's just what happens over the life of a show.

Jim should have never broken up with Karen.

Wow. Tonight we say goodbye to one of the most beloved sitcom characters of all time. I'm a little sad.

My favorite boss did the same thing - his real last day was the day before he said it was. I figured it out as we were walking out of the office together and we had a moment very similar to Jim and Michael's. I've been so down on this show the last couple of years and especially this season, but that got me. Adios Michael Scott.

    Wow.

    "Uh-oh" is right.

A way too sentimental ending for the main character on a show that built its legend on being decidedly unsentimental.

I'd have agreed wholeheartedly with this post a few years ago, but this show's been indulging deep in the sentimental goo for awhle now. Expected nothing different tonight.

I might be the only here to express this sentiment but: Good riddance, Michael Scott. Felt like this season kinda went to waste because they had to tie up all the Michael loose ends over the years, his romances, who will he marry, how will he propose, what happened to his script, his final dundees, etc. Week after week of it, sick and tired of it.

Hopefully a new boss without all the soap opera baggage to play out might return the show closer to its roots. Not holding out much hope for that, though.

Stoney, I agree. Glad he's gone. Michael was my least favorite thing about the show.

Yes, this is probably true. Like most great shows, it stayed on too long. At some point, this one became a caricature of itself. Pam and Jim went from being the two of the best characters to two of the worst as well.
