The intro is almost always funnier than the rest of the episode. Great episode though.

Felt it was a near-perfect mix, similar to what Parks and Rec has with not one character dominating the show. In the long run, that could really, really pay off.

Spader certainly provides a new dynamic, doesn't he?

Funny episode, definitely had its awkward moments - a necessity in the office - but I feel as if the show is at the peak of running its course.

Unless there's a whole episode dedicated to Pam and Angela's dueling pregnancies. Which I hope there will be.

My only complaint is what they've done to Pam's character. She's a total prop now. Nothing more.

Episode was decent. Felt like a set-up episode, which I think is a necessity when you're replacing the heart and soul of the show like they did with Michael. Willing to give it a leash and see where it goes.

I will say I thought the cold open with the planking bit was hilarious, especially with Meredith planking underneath the urinals in the men's room.

Is planking a real YouTube phenomenon?

I am completely out of the loop on any viral YouTube video. I don't even know where people hear about them.

The kids like to do the planking thing these days. Seriously. I was sitting at my favorite bar a few weeks ago when some weird ditzy 20-something came in ... and a few minutes later she was freaking planking on the end of the bar. Oh, those crazy kids.

I've only heard about it because Darren Rovell has tweeted about it.

    Owling is the new planking.

It's one of those things where by the time we hear about it, the cool kids stopped doing it two years ago.

I think it sets up the rest of the season nicely (Sopranos flashback)
