But nobody even knows what the Creed character does in the office. The show is filled with these bizarre little sidebars, like Dwight's life away from work, Meredith's nymphomania and slow Kevin winding up in the accounting department after he applied for a job in the warehouse.

Another solid episode for the Nard Dog.

The discourse between Nard Dog and Rob California was funny.

Nard: "Yeah, Erin and I seem to finally be syncing up..."
    California: "I've already lost interest."

    Good overall episode.

Didn't like last season, and not liking this season. ... Parks and Rec blows this show away.

Completely agree that Erin's character is not believable (like with the coffee thing), and Pam's character is just unlikeable now. The show really started going downhill when Jim and Pam got together. They're trying to do the same with Erin and Andy, and it's not working.

And I think someone said this earlier, I'm getting sick of Dwight's schtick.

Yeah, I'm sick of Dwight's schtick; I believe I was the one who said it. Basically, they've stretched him out in every direction, and like an old Stretch Armstrong, there really isn't much left there.

Wait, we just got done with seven seasons of Michael Scott ... and it's Erin's character that's not believable?

See, I've known people as socially awkward and downright rude as Michael Scott. Maybe not to that certain degree, but in that ballpark. I've never known anyone as ditzy and dumb as Erin. Or maybe I just don't find that comedy funny.

I love Parks and Rec (and Community and 30 Rock), but at the same point you are comparing a show in its 3rd year to one its (I think) 8th. Harder to maintain a comedy that long, in my opinion. Compare third season to third season, etc.

And I'll note I'm not thrilled with Andy in this role, but of anyone on the show he makes the most sense. I do love Spader as California and even said so after his spot last year. Great contrast with the rest of the office.

p.s. Didn't mind this week's show, thought it moved along nicely, but hated the opening.

I liked the cold opening. Everything else was meh, and it was especially painful to see Pam as a freaking out pregnant lady.
