Two weeks in a row they've brought at least the B+ game.

I thought it was a pretty solid episode as well. Nice to see Jan back, although the episode would have been a lot more effective if they hadn't given away the surprise in the commercials.

Is anyone legitimately intrigued by how Oscar and Angela will turn out?

I think Claire's dad from Heroes, but that's about it.

Agreed. I watched them back-to-back and enjoyed myself greatly.

I think the strong point of these two episodes has been pulling Andy away. They've made him so overbearing that this strategy allows the rest of the cast to shine. Hell, even Nellie was strong in this one. I was not crazy about the Jim plot, but I am sure it's important to the show's end game. And I have never been a Jan fan, but her presence brought out the best in Dwight. He's so good when they make him smart and cunning rather than a buffoon.

Although I'm not disliking the direction they are taking with him, it's really amazing how incompetent and clueless they are making Jim look this season.

Who would have the common sense/balls to call into a conference call to his future business from his current employer? Then take that call to the outdoors and be walking around?

Throw that on top of keeping Pam out of the loop on all this at the start.

I kept saying, "Go in your car, moron!"

But I will agree with the group that the last two episodes have been decent. Show still pales in comparison to Parks & Rec.

Finale spoiler: Pam gets sick of Jim's recent buffoonery and starts up a torrid affair with Angela, who's just looking to get even with someone's help.

Very much so. That's the first time in awhile I watched an Office episode and thought "I want to see what happens next." Same with Jim's job.

Thinking maybe that's a part of all this. It's easy to be a big shot at Dunder Mifflin. Outside that office, Jim's not as good as he thinks he is....

It will be interesting to see if the show sticks to that direction (meet your new Dunder Mifflin regional manager), or if he will actually step up (meet Philly Jim).

Same here. I think Oscar/Angela is an intriguing story line.
