    What was the deal with the microwave mess? Are they trying to show that Pam has come to realize her co-workers are selfish assholes, or are they showing some resentment toward Pam because she went to New York?

    I think Jim is the culprit -- he was weird during their conversation about it -- and it will lead to some sort of situation when they move in together.

    I thought it showed Pam was willing to stand up for herself and feelings. I don't think the old Pam who dated Roy would have ever done something like that.

    Funny ... I thought it was indicative of how miserable she's going to be back at Dunder-Mifflin, knowing she failed at the one thing she really wanted to do.
     
  12. Jim and Pam are good for each other. They challenge each other. They don't just say what the other wants to hear. I think that's what the scene was intended to reinforce.
