Andy and Creed are my favorite characters in the show.
Helms is brilliant with his delivery, particularly when his emotional fragility is on display. I love his obliviousness.
Creed is well, Creed. No other explanation.

Kelly is often very funny, but I can also only handle her in small doses. Last night's was just way too much.

And Michael sucks. Just utterly sucks.

You had me up until the Michael part.

He can be over the top, but he's the heart and soul of the show.

Not to open this can of worms again, but Michael's over-the-topness is why I'll always prefer the British version. Not that David Brent never went over the top, just in a way I found more entertaining.

Well the salesman isn't a manager, so I guess corporate would be ok with it.

    I agree.

Michael is a little ridiculous -- OK, a lot -- but show wouldn't be the same without him.

They've indicated before that Michael doesn't oversee the HR person ... that the HR person reports directly to corporate and is assigned to each branch. Otherwise, why wouldn't Michael have fired Toby eons ago?

Maybe it's because Michael secretly likes Toby?

I somehow doubt that. Although it would be quite the twist.

The video was made before my favorite Michael/Toby moment. After the hearing with corporate and Jan, Michael and Toby are eating lunch, and Toby tries to emphasize with Michael. He talks about his parent's divorce and how he didn't want to choose, but Michael just pushes his tray off the table and walks away.

I was watching this today and it made me so uncomfortable I almost had to go past it.

Over the top? Like all the other things he has done over the year's haven't got him fired.

Why would they fire him? He's delivering for the company. That's why he's on the lecture tour.

Got to admit, the lecture tour doesn't make sense from this standpoint: David Wallace, when he brought Michael to corporate, saw how inept he was at communicating his secrets of success to him, the boss man. There's no way he could have expected Michael to convey that to the troops. But what the hell, it's a sitcom and they need situations.
