On the other hand, why can't I pick NFL games like this?  :-\

 

Bump for the morning crew.

 

Overrated seems to be sitting in the catbird seat (6 out of 8 quarterfinalists chosen — not bad).

But both my finalists are still in fine fettle — the hosts and the favorites. Even if I don't catch up (not enough extra points for later rounds, BBAM ), I'll be on Cloud 9 with a Deutschland-Brasil final.

 

We're all playing by the same rules. However, if/when I do this again, I'll be giving many more points for picking quarters, semis title games correctly. I knew this would be a challenging format, but it's almost too tough.
More points for later rounds and maybe giving people half credit for picking a team to make, say, the quarterfinals but on the wrong side of the bracket.

 

My Carol from Accounting impression is in fine form...

Then again, the same can't be said for those choking Dutch Boys ala Orange.

 

If I'm looking at the entries right, the England-Portugal match will determine a lot here.

p.s. Portugal won, so Dessen is still your leader, everyone.

 

Update coming Monday ... left the sheets at the office.

 

I'm afraid to look. England and Brazil and their lackluster performances screwed me.

But if Germany wins, I could take comfort in being the only one to pick them.

 

They screwed me, too. But being one of the few with Italy in the finals, that could help a lot.

 

Calm the fuck down ... some of us have work to do. ;D
