Oh I picked it up, but I'm already in trouble with my co-workers for running jokes into the ground.

Adam Jones? The announcer referred to Adam James as Adam Jones twice.

Wouldn't know. I blocked ESPN's autoloading video clips a long time ago.

The only winner in this whole mess is ... Tiger Woods.

One of the assholes was in a position of authority.

One of the assholes was a student-athlete with a head injury.

    That's what's really quite simple.

I will say this: If anyone has seen the "affidavits" and still feels that Mike Leach needs to be anywhere in a position of power over someone's children, well, I feel really sorry for your life.

Agree - Leach is not cut out to coach youth football

To me, the most telling thing is the (apparent) amount of support that James is receiving. Let's be honest here: James' background (wealth, fame, the presumption of favorable treatment) is not endearing in and of itself to most of his teammates. So for him to be getting even a decent share of the support from his teammates suggests to me who the bad guy is in this deal. And it's not Adam James.

It's a weird situation. No doubt that Leach might have been tough on his players, if he's willing to be quoted about "fat little girlfriends" I can imagine what he says behind closed doors. But it's easy to side with a player who is still with the team when the coach is gone. I imagine those pissed that Leach is gone aren't exactly rushing to the microphone. Divided loyalties create strange circumstances. I also figure there is a lot of support for the assistant coach as well. Best thing Tech could do is give Ruffin a two year deal and let the thing shake out. A new coach would have to lead a team that at least in part publicly supported a coach's ouster. Is probably disappointed the interim didn't get the full time gig and has no loyalty to an outsider.
