The Pizza Thread

    Whenever I'm at Joe's or Di Fara, I think, "If the pizza is good enough, it doesn't need toppings."

    And I lean toward that take, too, many times.

    The one thing I'm beginning to see is that the sharp provolone and the olive oil create that tangy aspect that lifts a pizza.

    Terrible pizza toppings are infinitely less annoying than people who complain about terrible pizza toppings they don’t even eat.

    Olives are delightful in a martini, bloody mary, or in a salad. Not on A FUCKING PIZZA.

    Funny thing is, I like anchovies in a Caesar salad, but can't abide them on a pizza.

    Bell pepper = Fruit
    Bell pepper on pizza = delicious
    ergo fruit on pizza = delicious

  11. Said it before and I'll say it again. When folks can agree on pizza toppings. Then - and only then - can world peace be achieved.
    You Can NOT order a satisfactory pizza with 3 or more people. Can NOT be done.

    My college background may be showing, but any seed-bearing plant structure is technically a "fruit." Yes, that includes tomatoes and peppers.
