Nothing a little neatsfoot oil won’t fix.

Only ever used neatsfoot oil on a baseball glove. ... when I was a kid. I had no clue that it is derived from cow shins and hooves. I don't think it would have freaked me out at that age. I had a baseball glove made out of "genuine rawhide leather," after all, that was my most prized possession. But today? Dunno about that one.

Neatsfoot oil, maybe on a boot. Second BR on the baseball glove. You'd oil the glove, then wrap it tight with a baseball in the webbing and keep it under your bed.

A thousand years ago, when ski boots were still made of leather, we'd wear them into the tub, soak them through with warm water, then walk around in them until they dried. This took many hours, of course, but at the end of it you had a custom-fit ski boot.

One cannot do likewise with a dress shoe.

One of my paper route customers had that car. And it looked immaculate. I wanted one so bad. What did I buy? A Pacer.
