Yeah, there's a whole segment of the Twitterati lining up to piss on the Queen's grave over centuries of British (and by extension European) colonialism that, to the best of my knowledge, she had little if any direct political control over. And if anything, a number of British colonies gained independence in the past 70 years. Certainly more than in the previous century, I'd wager.

 

She oversaw the transition from the imperial Britain to the commonwealth Britain. For the rightful criticisms we can levy against them, at least the British began allowing more autonomy for the colonized and subjugated areas.

 

I thought the queen died. Wasn’t that her singing at halftime of the Rams game just now?

 

It happened while she was wearing some crown ... she had nothing to do with it. I'm not defending her, mind you, but come on.
