    Immediate succession, but there will be a formal crowning later. Elizabeth’s reign began February 1952 with the death of her father. But the formal coronation wasn’t until June 1953.

    The release from him regarding the Queen's death was merely from his majesty the king. We do not know his name yet.

    Charles has a lot of baggage. I could see him choosing Edward to honor his grandfather. And his mom.

    Edit: Apparently it will be Charles III. Oh well

    She loved dogs and going to the track. She drank at lunch. A model sovereign IMO.
