The Ray Rice Elevator Video

The NFL has botched the whole process so badly it's an embarrassment. Still, I can't fathom any team signing Rice. He's nowhere near the player that, say, Adrian Peterson, is. And the off field stuff would be a nightmare.

 

It's very likely that if none of this had happened, Rice would be a benchwarmer at best for the Ravens with a real possibility they'd have waived him. So only a truly desperate team would pick him up. If I had Andrew Luck, but Trent Richardson as my only RB, I might be desperate.
It's also noteworthy that a federal judge appears to have decided Goodell was full of shit.

 

I think noteworthy is an understatement.

Yep. Pretty spot-on. Would have been smart to announce he was taking a year off. But then he'd be washed up even more.

Losing Rice was a huge break for the Ravens. it helped get the ball in Forsett's hand's earlier in the season and more often.
