I'm clear on what you wrote. Just checking to see that you don't agree with her. I think it is fairly clear, her judgement is shaky at best, and that makes me question her statements as well.

I doubt the Steelers go that route, too. They have said they are not going to sign a veteran to replace Blount. I'm guessing they will stick with that. I was just acknowledging that they would go that route if they felt it best for the team on the field regardless of the heat they would take.

The best team to pick him back up would be Baltimore. A lot of people still have his jersey and still proudly wear it. Plus, well, Ray Lewis.

I think we can all agree it would be great fun for all involved if Rice signed with Pittsburgh, Bell broke his ankle, and Rice turned in a dominating performance over six weeks to help the Steelers win a Super Bowl. The combination of outrage, schadenfreude, Steeler fanboi posts, jokes, Gregg Doyel columns, political backlash, and disgust would power SJ for weeks. If I could convince ESPN to let me and Wright Thompson road trip to Pittsburgh with I turn it into a travel piece about what Primanti Bros says about our whether or not we should condemn or forgive the entire Steelers backfield, it would be as close to achieving pure energy as we'll ever see here.

I just hope whichever team signs him says they signed him because they thought they could help them win. Period. And leave the "second chance" crud at home.

It was well done, but before we go crazy, I hope he paid royalties to Clubber.

Man funny stuff DD. Western PA would certainly complete Wright Thompson's coverage of
the holy trinity of football hot beds. As an added bonus you could get Jones to go and interview
Rocky Bleier about the things he carried in his pack in 'Nam. That would sustain SJ for weeks.

  9. Wright Thompson's ears would explode.

Tony Dungy said he'd sign Ray Rice, btw. #YOLO. #nodistraction

I've always been a big Tony Dungy fan but I've hit the wall in regard to him being
the NFL go to moral compass guy. It's become a cliche.
