There are obviously teams that could use Rice if he has anything left, but I think they feel that by the time Rice is in football shape and learns their system, the playoffs will be underway. Why not wait until next year, when you have the offseason to see if he can still help you?

But if a team doesn't snap him up soon, some other team will. I expect him to find a new home before next weekend.

The only caveat to that is that the Rice camp stated that they would consider offers but might also opt to not play this year, so he's apparently not inclined to accept just any old offer.
