When we are discussing the pile of nothing that is the list of Goodell's "accomplishments", did we mention the proposal to have the Super Bowl acts pay money to play?

You have the most watched program in the country, with the halftime act being an integral part of that, and you want the artist to pay the NFL... It would put the stench of desperation automatically on any act who gets up there.... all for a few more sheckels for the NFL.

    this league......

Speaking of which ... the new Thursday Night Football theme song is unveiled tonight, performed by Rihanna. Bruises might be fake!

Ratings will be through the roof with people tuning in drooling to hear the salacious details.

    The NFL wins!

Sure, but some flunky at NFL HQ is not the same thing as some upper-echelon official. That's what I was getting at ...

I can't think of a single way one could run afoul of the law by watching a legally recorded surveillance video.

I guess I was confused by your statement. You said NFL headquarters, and it indisputably was viewed at NFL headquarters.

But you live in the real world. What would you tab the probability that no "executive" (say, the head of security or anyone VP or above) saw it?

Yeah, I'm not getting that either. Or running afoul of the CBA.

My guess is that what they told the NFL -- it was a drunken argument and not who we really are.

Seeing that there is a pregame show on CBS tonight, I am guessing that James Brown will handle whatever light lifting the Tiffany Network wants to do on the Ray Rice/Goodell affair.

By the time they hand off to "Hello, Friends", it will be clear sailing for Jim and Phil to talk game. The best I can see Nantz doing would be a vague discussion of 'the distractions of the week'.
