I'm still not 100 percent sure if he did or not. Statements from the kid's mother seem to be the source of those admissions, so it is at least possible that he said no such thing.

The Panthers are not bound to follow suit to what the Vikings choose to do. The league office should be consistent in its decisions, though it often fails to do so. The individual teams are free to make their own choices.

Yes, the teams are the ones who need to step up here. But doing the right thing is second to winning football games. Which, when you get down to it, is a huge part of the problem. As long as they can play well, many of these guys aren't held to the same rules, and some haven't been since they were in high school.

Meanwhile, noted woman-puncher Floyd Mayweather Jr. shrugs off
media hounds with his one-size-fits-all disclaimer: "Only God can judge me."

    Right, Floyd!

Mayweather is a moron, in the clinical sense. Just a dumb as dirt fool.

Condi Rice's name keeps coming up in regards to the NFL Commissioner's job.

    Senator Kirsten Gillibrand:

    Where did I do that?

I haven't said I think she's the best person for the job.

Keeping my opinions about Ms. Rice's performance in government and politics to myself, can anyone, in a million years, envision a scenario where Dan Snyder, Jerry Jones, Robert Kraft, Jerry Richardson, Steve Bisciotti, Zygi Wilf and countless other "self-made" businessmen with an extremely high opinion of themselves not only accept the idea of a woman running the NFL, but back her candidacy and advocate for it behind closed doors? What business experience does she have? What successes can she point to as part of her candidacy?

It's not just them being ok with it. It's that for it to happen, some of the biggest power-brokers in the NFL would have to be major advocates for her.

    It's a total fantasy.
