Anything that gets that skirt off the college selection committee is OK by me.

Not at all. As I've said repeatedly, I'm not advocating for her to get the job. I don't think she will get the job.

I do think her name will continue to come up in regards to the job though, and it's never good for anyone if people are talking about who's going to get your job next, and that's where Goodell is.

I am curious as to who will get it if Goodell has to go. There is no obvious successor, and his top lieutenants will likely be swept out with him if this scandal brings him down.

I'd be interested to hear folks offer up their thoughts as to whom might get the job. So far, Rice's name has been the one talked about in the press most prominently.

If the idea of her getting the job is fantasy, who is do you think would/should be considered?

I didn't claim it was a fantasy. I have no idea who would get it next. For now, Goodell is still there.

As to the rest of your comments, you are posting repeatedly about "Condi" getting the job and it is just the latest example of your political cheerleading. That you won't admit to it is no surprise, but it does not fool anybody.

    I didn't say you did.

So, take a guess. Who might be considered?

So what? It's not improbable that he could lose his job, and it's not going to stop media speculation about who might get it.

Could you provide some evidence to back up this statement?

There's nothing to admit. That you, of all people, would try to words in my mouth proves you to be quite the hypocrite, which is no surprise.

Nothing hypocritical about it. I did not put words in your mouth. I'm just reflecting what is in your posts. Why you are avoiding stating your intent more directly is a matter of speculation. I'm not going to try to read your mind, but you are going on and on about the support she is getting.

Yeah, I can't really see you making assumptions.

If nobody believes Condi will be the commissioner why are we even discussing it. What a stupid turn for this thread to take.

Who else's name is out there?

DD brought her up the other day. When I mentioned that she was being talked about in the (conservative) media, OOP accused me of promoting/supporting her, and breaking the no politics rule by simply mentioning it.

That's absurd. Her name is being bandied about. And, if no one else gets mentioned, she will only get more attention.

If Goodell goes, and she doesn't specifically rule her self out of contention, she will surely be considered, if only to satisfy a diversity component of the search.

I don't think she'll get the job, but I'm not sure it fantasy either.

Who cares. And it IS fantasy. As already noted, the high-powered white male owners would never go for a black female with no real business experience.

I believe it is a fantasy, but I see no reason we can't talk about it. Unlike Bill Clinton, she is relevant to this thread.

I just can't imagine why YF would keep bringing it up. It's not like he has a history of either violating the no-politics rule or at least trying to find ways around it. Oh, wait.....

    ;D
