    Did you guys know they hired a former director of the FBI to do their independent investigation? And yeah, there are a bunch of connections that hint at a conflict of interest, but come on, he was director of the FBI. And longer than anybody. There's really no reason to question any of it because you can trust him. He was director of the FBI. Really, who are you to question anybody's integrity? He was the head of the FBI.

    Press conference on a Friday afternoon is the oldest trick in the PR notebook. It will be forgotten about by kickoff on Sunday.

    A press conference on a Friday afternoon, after you have been MIA for 9 days, and during which you actually reignited the controversy by giving such a poor performance during the press conference, isn't in any PR notebook I know of.

    I'm sure every networker reporter will have "ownership sources" praising Goodell's performance on the Sunday shows.

    Goodell used to give the impression that the owners needed him more than he needed them. Not anymore, he's more the hired hand now then ever before
