Misdirection and distortion. The Ravens knew what happened within hours.

Don Van Natta and some other guy investigated.

Someone from ABC News, IIRC. Wanted to throw up.

Roger, how is it that TMZ is smarter than the NFL. We got the tape in 1phone call

Already knew about the owner, but this makes Newsome look bad.

Haha - the Ravens threw Ray under the boss by creating this "he wasn't truthful in the interview" theory.
They released him within minutes of the TMZ video, at the same time Biscotti is promising him a job after his career has ended. The implication being "go along with the ruse that you misdirected us in the interview, and we'll take care of you later".

    Liars, all of them.

Hoo boy. Ravens had full description soon after the incident.

Actually, Newsome was truthful in saying that he knew the true story, then Bisciotti contradicted that. But Newsome was one of the ones that didn't want to release Rice initially, apparently. Harbaugh and the personnel guy wanted him cut, then Harbaugh picked up the party line.

So who is going to lead the charge to fire Goodell? The liar in Baltimore? The pill popper in Indy who is buying townhouses for a woman who is found dead under suspicious circumstances? The owner in Minnesota who violated racketeering laws and defrauded business partners of $85 million? Or the owner in Cleveland who had to pay a $92 million dollar fraud claim as the owner of Flying J?

That's quite a confederation of rogues.

That Harbaugh comes off good makes me think he is a source

Just want to say. ... That was a really good investigative reporting job. Unnamed sources, which come with the territory for something like that, but it reads very fair and it is entirely believable.

    100%.

I didn't realize Goodell and Bisciotti were best buddies.

Goodell should lose his job over this, but the Ravens were worse.

They knew what happened, and they circled the wagons for Rice. And, now we know they totally lied about being misled by Rice about what happened.

I swear, I know it won't happen, but I'd like to see Bisciotti be forced to sell the franchise over this. Sure, Cass and Newsome should be fired, but Bisciotti needs to face consequences too.
