Meanwhile, Irvine is already all over San Diego St: 4-0 in the third. The Anteaters and their Soviet-era style architecture monstrosity of a park are already in the Aztecs' bullpen.

This is good. I don't want Fullerton to have to face Strausberg. Let Irvine exhaust itself getting out of their region... if they get out.

Army 5, Texas 3, top of 4. Army has bases loaded, 1 out. Texas just made second pitching change of inning.
A&M, Baylor, Missouri, Kansas eliminated. Rice 5, KState 0; Clemson 8, OKState 0. Sunday could be a bad day getting worse for the Big 12.

Gary Adams at UCLA refused to overwork his pitchers. He got criticized for making it to the CWS only once in 25 years ... yet he sent as many players to the majors as any school in the country.

you know, I can almost understand why the NCAA doesn't want a 10-run rule.

    fine.

make it a 12-run rule. after seven. then it's over.

my recollection from previous regionals is that Gary Adams was a class act.

Sometimes you'll see one in conference tournaments. I know C-USA has had one in the past, while the SEC did not.
