A dogpile, at least to me, is when everyone jumps and winds up on the ground.

    That's not what Arky did.

Then LSU signed up for two-and-BBQ today also.

Lots of teams dogpile after getting to Omaha.

Particularly those who haven't been in a while.

I can't blame the Porkers. Or LSU.

Just don't get hurt. It's been known to happen.

Well, Moddy, they've seen this movie before. Win the first game, lose the next two. Happened against UT in '05, Miami in '06. Both times in Oxford. Plus, Bianco threw his ace today, Drew Pomeranz. And when I say threw him, I mean threw him.

    Dude threw 146 pitches.

After making two starts in the regional.

But the first two games have been pretty intriguing. Both decided by 4-3 score.

Somebody's gonna shine on the mound tomorrow, and his team probably wins.

It also helps to remember that Oxford has a tee-tiny population base, and most of the students left a month ago.

    I call it Oxford-University Stadium.

Original name. I'm stickin' with it. They wanna add something, go ahead, I'm not using it.

Plus, Tom Swayze was a prick. After he retired, he sat in the back of the press box, and if anybody dared have a little fun, he'd rebuke the shit out of you.

As Rodney Dangerfield said in Caddyshack, 'the graveyard is two blocks to the left.'

    It's college baseball, not church.

AP agrees with you, at least as far as the stadium name goes. It's been Oxford-University Stadium in the agate.

Call it what you will. Swayze may have indeed been a dick.
    I'm cool with whatever.

Seems Ole Miss kept the Swayze name after using it at the first ballpark.

    From the Ole Miss site:
Tom Swayze had 21 seasons with three CWS berths.
In his first year, 1972, successor Jake Gibbs guided Ole Miss to a 28-16 record, winning the fifth SEC championship in school history and leading the Rebels to their fourth visit to the College World Series.
Gibbs would also lead Ole Miss to its sixth SEC championship in 1977, when the Rebels hosted and won the inaugural SEC Tournament at old Swayze Field.
Gibbs would coach the Rebels through 1990 season and leave as the school’s all-time winningest coach, compiling 485-389-8 record.

    REBELS GET NEW HOME
On February 19, 1989, Ole Miss opened its current home facility, Oxford-University Stadium/Swayze Field, with a doubleheader sweep of Cumberland University.

A final note: GO REBS! GO GOLDEN EAGLES!

Ark. def. did not dog pile. In fact, I thought it was kind of tame for a game-winning hit, let alone one to go to Omaha.

Ole Miss is forever jinxed by the fact they play "Omaha" after every home win and the fact that two or three signs on the square reference Omaha. Just shut up about it already.

Fixed that for you, Blitz. But the sentiments are appreciated.

Fullerton's first national title came in 1979, on the back of a first baseman named Tim Wallach, your NCAA Player of the Year that season.

By the way, if you're counting, that's 11 more smilies for the Titans this postseason. They've outscored their postseason opponents 64-11 in five games and are now 7-2 in Super Regionals since the format came online in 1999.
