    I blame baseball.

    Well played.

As much as I enjoy soccer, those Sounders kits are a major eyesore. Any Seahawks thinking about that third jersey should take plenty of notes.

Leadoff runner on for the Cavs. Let's see ... pop-up the bunt and turn it into a double play? They haven't done that yet. It's the 12th inning. Time to get creative.

LSU is loving this. And rooting for more innings.

That's a game that'll haunt Virginia fans for years to come. What were they, something like 1-for-9 the last three innings with runners in scoring position?

UVA has a runner on 3rd and less than 2 outs in the 10th, 11th and 12th and doesn't score.

    Sixty-second. :D

And the Sounders are apparently playing D.C Untied tonight. Whoops, typed too soon.

Has a team ever been within one pitch of victory twice in the same game and managed to lose?
As I was watching it, I thought it was a bit odd of Patrick and Hershiser to start the Arkansas tribute/post mortem with the score at 3-1. No sooner did Patrick praise the Hogs for their great (and presumably over) season than the guy hit one to Iowa to tie it.

D.C was down 3-1. "Untied" actually made sense up until they got the second goal ... and then the third

Methinks LSU's sixth national title is on the horizon.

The obvious logistical advantage, enough starting pitching, a kick-ass closer and some serious offense.

Plus everything Mainieri's touched this season has turned to, uh, gold.

The over/under on exclamation points in the headlines of the B.R. paper when they win it is 2.5.

Odds on the term "we" ... well, never say never.

That was being done because they were going to wrap quickly and throw to MLS coverage right after the final out.
