Not to mention LSU was down to its last out in the ninth before tying it. What a game.
Gotta wonder how much Texas has left for tomorrow. I know they've been pretty resilient, but ... damn. That's a tough one to bounce back from. They've been winning those kinds of games during their whole run. They also used a ton of pitchers, including the closer Wood for 2 or 3 innings. If LSU can jump on them early tomorrow, it might be lights out.

That stuff LSU's pitcher Ott was throwing at Texas in the bottom of the 11th was just filthy.

Not an over the top electric atmosphere but pretty damn good for a game with a heat index of 107. Texas is in trouble. Augie used all his major bullets on the mound to try and get this one.

LSU showed some serious sack, scoring those two runs in the top of the ninth.

    And yeah, Ott's really impressive.

Mainieri said today he's going with Austin Ross tonight, holding Ranaudo for tomorrow if he needs him.

Has Ross even started a game in the postseason? Maybe one of the regional games?

I'm thinkin' LSU is gonna need more than 4 runs to win this thing.

    Ranaudo's laboring.

I'll agree, especially since it's tied now :D

Texas' hitters have done a terrific job of fouling off pitches. What'd they say Ranaudo threw, 43 pitches in the third inning alone? Criminy.
Good news for LSU is they have something of a monopoly on fantastic finishes in CWS championship games. Here's hoping that continues.

Texas gets four, LSU gets five. Seems like a fair trade from this LSU fanboy's point of view.
