Shane may as well shoot himself. Lets see he is broke, no car, a pregnant wife who is injured, he is traveling with a small child and is now strung out on coke. Other than that he is doing just fantastic.

The whole episode was sensational but I thought Chiklis was just amazing. His pause before he starts his confession was perfect. I was sitting there saying he can't can he? Holy crap that was good. Can't wait for next week. Shane is dead. Mackey is not walking away clean. Who knows maybe Corrine kills him. Ronnie is smart and if my money was on anyone it would be him to get away. Also I don't get a good feeling for Dutch. That serial killer kid is reaching out to him for a reason and I don't think it is for a friend

This whole damn thing is just unbelievable. As I've written previously, throughout most of this season's episodes, my stomach has just been churning as my mind races a minute or two ahead thinking about what's about to happen. Next week is going to be unreal.

My only fear is that the season has been sooooo good that I am not sure that the level of tension can reach a higher level for the finale and that it might seem disappointing by the standards of this season.

  4. Shit, I didn't even consider that possible ending for Dutch, Bob. You just put a lump in my throat here. I love Dutch; I think he's the true leader of the Barn and the quality of his character should be unquestioned, given how he's dealt with Claudette, Corrine, Dani, the future serial killer and many others (notwithstanding the cat incident, which I think was a terrible storyline that they never expanded upon). Those repeated phone calls are certainly creepy. As much as I respect Vic---and I don't think he's evil, because he never actually preyed on the innocent and he always maintained a heart, evidenced by his early work with the hooker/drug addict with the mentally disabled son---I would rather see him expire next week than Dutch.

And even though I have such a respect for that character, I still didn't seriously consider what those phone calls may ultimately mean, because so much shit actually happened last night.

    "I've done worse."

    Wow, what an ending line.

I hope the last episode is as good as the first one was and it goes out like a bang.

Either way. . . i will be glued to my seat.

Just finished watching last night's episode out of my tivo tuner.

All I can say is Bravo to both the writers and the actors. Could it get any better?

If you haven't had your money's worth by now...

You must be waiting to marry a Playboy Bunny who scored 1600 on her SAT.

I know it would be a little too cheesy but how funny would it be if it turns out Ronnie has cut his own deal with the DA or some other jurisdiction to turn on Mackey. Now that would be funny.

I might be completely jumping to conclusion but why else did they even bring it up. I can't see how it is going to have some tie in to bringing Vic down. Also The mother is played by Frances Fisher. Seems like if you are going to bring her on as a character it is not going to be one that just fades away. Not feeling too good about the ol dutch boy.

  11. That wasn't even the best line of the scene. When she asked how much longer it was going to be, Vic replies, "How much tape does that thing have?" Classic.

Finally got to watch the episode (after screwing up the taping Tuesday night and having to wait until Saturday night to tape and having my wife give birth Saturday night).
What more can I say? It was just a jaw dropping episode. Amazing twists and I can't wait until tonight's season finale (I've got the VCR set properly tonight).
My wife (who started watching with me shortly after we met during Season 5) and I (who has been hooked since the first episode) were looking at eachother in amazement during Vic's confession when he was done we both said "wow"

I've made my predictions on what's going to happen tonight on the Season Finale thread.

TIP FOR THOSE RECORDING TONIGHT -- The Channel Guide on my Cable Screen show it running for 105 minutes 10-11:45, not the 90-minutes they're promoting it as.
