    I guess Simmons and Charles Pierce have made up:

    @sportsguy33 Bill Simmons
    Hey CPP: took you out of TBOB cuz you trashed it without ever mentioning that you used to email me all the time until I told you to eff off.

    Pierce: "And right back at you, you mendacious, whiny little thin-skinned bag of breeze, you. I've been thrown out of better joints than your bibliography."

    Parsed through it. Some neat pieces I liked but didn't love (the UEFA fan experience, Pierce's National nostalgia), some that I couldn't read past the first graf (the video game review). I'll come back from time to time, but it's not a must-read.

    Comebacks get no better than that.

    A whole section of the oral history of The National is dedicated to Lupica bashing and Boom isn't here? Can someone check on him?

    That. And the National stuff, also, too.

    As Mike Lupica's head explodes somewhere in this fair country of ours, I'm just going to say I truly enjoyed The National pieces.

    Can't wait to read the National pieces. Boom is organizing a live production of the interviews, everyone gets a part to read responsively. Sign up now. I get to be Azcarraga.

    Is it just me or does the main National piece read like the script of a good documentary? I mean, it's a change of pace from the normal longform structure, but this seems like it was meant for broadcast and we're just reading the scraps.

    "And playing the part of Mike Lupica tonight is Sandy Duncan..."
