Costa Rica's home loss to Mexico could end up being the difference.

Because I want to pretend that the lack of answers to my little trivia question was down to the U.S. game and not to the fact that no one cares: :D

Only team to have scored 1,000 goals in all four of the top English divisions?

Top four divisions. So what is currently the Premier League, Championship, League One and League Two, and what way back when was the First, Second, Third and Fourth Divisions.

Burnley's a good guess, but no.

I should clarify, to have scored 1,000 in EACH of the top four divisions. Sorry if that was unclear.

No, and no. I'm not sure Portsmouth have been in the top flight enough. :D

My guess would have to be Bolton.

And we now have 8 of the 32 participants in next year's World Cup, with Ghana added today.

    Deskslave,

You got me. I can't figure out what club spent 20 years in first and fourth division.

Nope, they only played one season in 4th.

    Wouldn't have to be 20 years, I don't think.

But in any case, this particular club has not been in the top flight for more than 80 years.
