Eduardo may never again win a close call for a penalty.

England getting ever so slightly sloppy here.

Northern Ireland now 2-0 down to Slovakia.

And Lampard heads in to make it 3-0 to England. On to South Africa.

England apparently close to agreeing a friendly with Brazil in November, to be played in Qatar. That should be interesting.

Gerrard again, 4-0. Croatia are just dreadful.

Any idea why there is next to no crowd at Wales-Russia? There are entire stands that are empty.

Way to fold, Scotland! I also see Norn Iron give up and put down a 2-0 loss. Awesome.

At least the USA play tonight!
I missed the halftime to do some work (yeah, yeah, I know...), I don't know what your referencing.

Fucking Scotland. Damn you for even getting my hopes up.

England up 5-1 on comically pathetic play by Croatia's GK.

That was worse than I saw from Lymington Town's keeper, who strayed outside his area and was chipped from 40 yards in last night's 4-0 beating by Hallen AFC in an FA Cup Preliminary Round replay.

Italy 2-0 Bulgaria, meaning that Ireland will only need one win to clinch second place in their group. They've got home games against Italy and Montenegro. They're four back of Italy.

France will need to win playoffs.
