    Huge stadium, small country.

Northern Ireland has a population of 1.75 million and a home stadium that seats about 16,000. Wales has a population of 3 million and a home stadium that seats about 75,000.

Because if there's two FAs in this world short of cash, it's Brazil and England.

    ----------------

Two stoppage-time goals in Riyadh -- Bahrain with a horrendous show of ball-watching, then the Saudis leave a man completely unmarked on a corner in the final minute. Bahrain advances 2-2 on away goals, next up New Zealand.

The Saudis, meanwhile, miss their first World Cup since Italia '90.

Spain clinch their place at the party with a 3-0 defeat of Estonia. They're a perfect 8-0-0 as well.

WTF is wrong with the USA? Following on matchtracker, and it seems T&T is dominating the game. This is a must-win for the USA. Not a "tie would be nice."

Been on their heels for much of the game so far. Should be down 2-0.

Kind of what I gathered. Did Donovan just biff that breakaway or was it a good save?

    Decent save, shit-tier attempt.

Quality teams don't fuck around with Trinidad OR Tobago on the road in matches that count.

Exactly MM. This is crap. Better improve quickly or they can make plans for a playoff in South America.

Come on, guys. Give them some slack.

CONCACAF road games are among the toughest in the word you know. Just listen to that (two-thirds full) stadium.

EDIT: Nice goal. Now hold on.

Could we really have a World Cup minus Portugal AND Argentina?

Apparently there IS a Santa Claus, and he really thinks England has been a good boy this year.
