I absolutely hate when the English get all snooty about this sort of crap. Come to Central or South America boys...then we'll show you all about playing on pitches with foreign objects.

Oh, I'm pretty sure everyone except Liverpool supporters finds it funny.

Reina had plenty of time to clear the ball from his area while play was on the other end. And the red scouse had, what, 85 minutes to equalize and couldn't.

What my fellow Yankee Gooner said.

Although I'm a bit more reserved and guarded in my optimism here. I still fear it's Chelski's title to lose, which annoys me no end. But there are reasons to think Arsenal can and will be a factor.

Your UEFA World Cup playoff draw:

    http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2009/oct/19/republic-of-ireland-france-world-cup-draw

    Ireland v France
    Portugal v Bosnia
    Greece v Ukraine
    Russia v Slovenia

Teams play as listed on Nov. 14, return legs on Nov. 18. I will cackle deep into the night if Ireland and Bosnia go through. There might be all of two or three goals in the Greece-Ukraine matches, and I'm fine with Russia or Slovenia (since the latter doesn't have Srecko Katanec to kick around anymore).

I know France is the highest-ranked of the seeded teams, but I think Ireland has a decent chance against them.

Trappatoni will have a plan, and the Irish have been very hard to beat since he took over. That one might go to away goals.
