If I had any time for video games, I would be on it like peanut butter on jelly.

No - it would cut into my Football Manager time. I'm trying to lead Fiorentina to back-to-back Serie A titles, and hoping the Inter job comes open...

Over the weekend, I actually pulled up some of the game and am rather amazed that you guys would be able to pick me out. Before kick-off, I was seen but only barely and half hidden at times behind a waving flag. My wife couldn’t even pick me out and the TV was paused.

Speaking of that game, the big ass US flag that comes out for goals and the national anthem is still in my trunk. I really need to drop it off at my buddy’s house this week before the final tailgate at Giants Stadium for RBNY. Next year, pre-gaming begins in my backyard…

Which edition do you have? I've stuck with CM 01/02.

I believe it's World Soccer Manager 2008. It's the first one with the 3D game simulation, where it's actually little players running around instead of dots.

Jermaine Jones, get your red, white and blue uniform and get onto the field! FIFA has approved your switch to the USMNT.

Poor, poor, put-upon Sir Alex. All those mean journalists, asking him questions. The nerve!

I was not happy in the slightest to see that.

Pretty awful night for British clubs in the CL. Arsenal gave up a late injury-time equaliser to draw 1-1 with Alkmaar, Liverpool lost to Lyon 2-1 and Rangers lost to Unirea 4-1.

Rumo(u)rs are swirling that England women's national team manager Hope Powell is being linked with the vacant job at League Two Grimsby Town.

Not at all surprised to see this. Somebody at Grimsby Town has been reading their Simon Kuper book.
