Rik Mayall of the Young Ones has recorded his own fight song for England's World Cup team. The song is "Noble England." And as you'll see in this video, Rik Mayall ain't a young one anymore.

Not surprising, given that the FA's announcement that there will be no official England World Cup song for the first time since ... 1966.

Neglected to mention earlier that League Two Notts County were 2-0 up against Wigan before being pegged back to a 2-2 draw. I'd suggest a replay will be a money-spinner, but it probably won't draw more than 5,000 people. The money, incidentally, appears to be on the verge of drying up for Notts County, and Sven seems to have one foot out the door.

Reading's adventure continues as well; they beat Burnley 1-0.

I assume this means Jimmy Conrad failed the center back audition.

Is anyone going to show up tonight? I mean, 3-0 at home to Honduras, even with a 'B' team, is not a good sign.

I almost completely forgot about the US game, what with a 15 hour flight waiting for me. Was the game as bad as that scoreline makes it seem? Ugh.

4 minutes to go, Stoke 3-1 Arsenal. The fifth round looks likely to have only one of the Big 4.

No one has ever won a World Cup in January. If they look this bad against the Dutch with a full squad, then it's pucker time.

S(c)unthorpe just leveled against Man City with half an hour gone, having gone down within 3 minutes. The leveler was about a foot offside, but they've deserved a goal, so there's not really an injustice.

    Nice job Arsene.

Arsenal: Fabianski, Coquelin, Campbell, Silvestre, Traore, Eastmond, Denilson, Fabregas, Walcott, Emmanuel-Thomas, Vela. Subs: Mannone, Rosicky, Eduardo, Ramsey, Arshavin, Bartley, Frimpong.

Having gone down 3-1, S(c)unthorpe are now back to 3-2 with 20 minutes to go.

And a certain Robinho provides Man City's fourth.
