It certainly couldn't hurt, especially if South Africa implodes in June.

Very happy for Donovan -- this move is already better than Bayern or either trip to Leverkusen. I'd like to see MLS let him extend the loan to the end of the Premiership season.

I don't believe China has the infrastructure to host a World Cup at this junction on such short notice. Only the US, Germany (because they just hosted) and maybe England do. However, I think China is looking at making a run for a 2018/2022 bid. They didn't have one in before, but they may try to jump in late in the game.

I agree. The guy is playing fantastic and really showing that He isn't the "Landycakes" that the dopes on the Phone-Ins dubbed him.

Donovan has already stated that if things work out he could make it a longer move. I'd like to see it happen.

MLS should sell him soon while some clubs still have the cash (or dubious credit) to purchase players.

The first WPS team to fold is . . . .

The league runner-up, and home of Marta, Los Angeles Sol.

If the WNBA is hemmorraging money, I wonder how bad it can possibly get for women's soccer.

    It's disinterest-squared.

And holy crap, they had a $500,000-player?

Nine months after the end of Barca's magical La Liga and Champion's League season, births in city are up 50 percent.

The white courtesy phone's been cut off as well.

That Web site sucks anyway. Way too much crap going on.

Seems as though administration may be inevitable. I assume that any points deduction would be applicable next year if they don't have a high enough point total to avoid relegation without the deduction.

But as long as they beat Southampton, I don't give a shit. :D
