At the half, United up 2-0.

But WTF from FSC? Listing EPL matches for the rest of the week, they included Setanta. I thought it was shutting down after today.

As of right now no one in the country is receiving a FSC HD feed according to the posters on Big Soccer. There's rumors it will be online for some of the digital satellite providers early in February, but no word on when terrestrial cable will get it.

There's also the question if the HD feed actually even exists. Normally you would not run an HD graphic on a standard definition broadcast, but in this case they are. Some speculate they are trying to pressure viewers into calling their cable providers, so they can in fact add the real HD feed.

That said, knowing how stingy cable companies are about adding HD channels to their precious bandwidth, I wouldn't be at all surprised if it takes a long time for FSC to appear in HD on the major cable providers.

I called up Verizon FIOS about FSC HD and they were in no-comment mode. They said that the games will be on channel 584, but there is no timetable. It would have been nice to have it in place for the UCL's knockout phase.

Nice win for United today. Nani and Rooney were great. They have not come close to replacing Ronaldo, but United at least looked like a team with real bite which might be able to hang with Chelski.

Feb. 28 is Setanta's last day, with FSC+ launching March 1.

The American Connection coming through for Aris today, Adu setting up Johnson for a pretty nice goal.

A buddy of mine works for a cable company. He told me that nobody is aware of what FSC+ will be and/or where it will be available. He figures that it will take about a week.

As Webster said, the HD feed will come in at some point. The companies are just weighing their options at the moment regarding the demand.

The Hoops also got Kamara from Fulham and sent Scott McDonald to Middlesborough.

Robbie Keane made his debut today in Celtic’s 1-0 loss to Kilmarnock. Thus, RANGERS remain 10 points ahead and a positive goal differential of 20. Today’s game against Kilmarnock was a make-up game they had in hand.
