    Italy is a weird place.

Not that England isn't, of course.

My wife wants to go away for a weekend for our 10th anniversary. She's looking at the weekend of the WC final.

I'm trying to convince her on NYC, so I can crash Pastor's watch party. But she wants to go to a beach somewhere.

    CRISIS!

The Jersey shore! Then, you can take a 2 hour drive north to my party.

On a side note, the USA v. England watch party is going to be quite sick. Seven FOOT HD screen, food, bevy, yours truly bartending, a primarily USA supporting crowd...

Is this shindig at your local, Pastor? The place may very well rock on its foundation.

I'm always down for guests. I've had a few SportsJournalists.commers there...

Absolutely! It will be an NJB sponsored event.

    Terry out as England captain.

    Replaced by ... Rio Ferdinand.

Go to the beach. Just make sure she understands those 3 hours are yours.
I scheduled my vacation away from the World Cup this year because I didn't want to deal with this. I've had so many times when qualifiers and such were being played while I was on vacation, and my wife was always understanding but it just seemed like it would be best to stay away from it.
But since you're only talking about the final, that's one game.

I'll be at one of New Jersey's fine beaches with my family during a few games (not the final). For those games, we will just be at a local bar or we'll convert one of the hotel rooms into our watch party.

We've done it for past World Cups and for most Euro Cups.

Martin Rogers again deigns to write about someone other than David Beckham.

OK, it's Freddy Adu, who many expected to be on the World Cup team by this time.

JOZY! And a pretty nice win for Hull, on the back of the draw against Chelsea, as they put a dent in Manchester City's Champions League hopes.
