Not that there is anything ever wrong with watching Spurs step on their collective dicks, but that would be a shame if Wolves go down, for no other reason than not having the chance to see Kevin Doyle play on a semi-regular basis. He is an absolute blast to watch.

I'm amused there are Everton fans — American ones at that, some of whom I consider friends — who are still openly hoping for Donovan to fail at Everton. Apparently they would rather revel in supporting a comparatively obscure (read: not Sky Four) European club than have to deal with the American bandwagon fans who would inevitably follow any permanent deal.

In other news, I've given up trying to understand fans and their behavior.

Ryan Giggs out four weeks with a fractured arm, per Soccernet.

with Nani out, this could really hurt their title chances. I thought that the challenge was reckless and deserved a yellow, but I don't think that it was even a foul.

Against Milan, I guess that Valencia and Nani will play the wings, with some combo of Park, Scholes, Carrick and Fletcher in the middle and Rooney as a solo striker.

Ashley Cole will be out three months after getting a collision with Landon Donovan.

I'm sorry that Cole is injured, but maybe this puts to rest some of the crap about Donovan being soft...

I thought you were sending Donovan to us so we could break him ahead of the World Cup, not so that he could break our guys.

    Did you get that memo?

Soccer haters get to laugh. The U.S. Soccer Hall of Fame Museum will officially close:

I never went. Was it a bad location, bad presentation . . . or just a lack of interest?

The need for halls of fame for everything in this country has always fascinated me.

Probably comes from being a short drive from the water skiing hall of fame for a while.

Oh, we got the memo. We just decided to go with Plan B. :)

In other fun news, a new documentary about the US' rise as a soccer nation is coming out (
    ). It looks pretty good.

They were at Nevada Smiths filming for this during the Guatemala v. USA game. I was interviewed. I was also completely bombed and am hoping that none of the footage of me ended up in this film. They used some of the footage, just before I entered, in the preview.
