In the 10 minutes of the second half which I watched, Eto'o should have gotten a red for the way that he confronted the ref after his pathetic dive and another player (maybe Milito?) had a terrible spiking of a player without even having a foul called.

The second half was dramatically different. The first half was shamefully lopsided and bad. The second half was just bad.

Couldn't believe he didn't make the call on the spiking of the knee.

Portsmouth 1-2 Stoke: A perfectly good Pompey goal ruled out for a bullshit offside call, a blown 1-0 lead and a 90th-minute winner from an ex-player who hadn't scored for eight goddamn years. It does all but remove any threat posed by going into administration. They have no chance at all of staying up, even without a deduction.

Sounds like the May 25 friendly against the Czechs might be in East Hartford., Conn. Turkey and the Czechs hook up May 22 at Red Bulls Arena

You forgot to mention the Potters scored the last one with 10 men.

I knew it was worse than I made it seem! That's the detail I forgot.

On a brighter note, the mighty Havant & Waterlooville won away at Worcester City yesterday, 2-0, extending their unbeaten run to seven (including five wins) and putting themselves fourth in the form table and tenth in the overall table -- and with enough games in hand to overtake all but one of the teams between 2nd and 9th.

Liverpool ekes out a point at Eastlands.

Just when I start thinking about trying my hand elsewhere in Asia, something like this pops up and reminds me these kind of things just don't happen anywhere else.

No single-named referee could possibly be that bad.

In case anyone cares, there's a two-for-one sale at the MLS outlet store at mlsnet.com this week.

Good chance to pick up a home-and-away jersey set for a low low price.

Too bad the deals aren't universal. Columbus, Seattle and Philly jerseys are not available in the outlet.
