That was a good turn by Ching. Too bad he didn't get the corner. Also, it is pretty embarrassing that Honduras's keeper can't take a goal kick.

Rogers has been a little weak until that 44' steal.
Pause has been weak as well, but at least he hasn't cost the team too much.

Great goal by Goodsen, though. Simply fantastic.

 

Cracking header, great delivery on the ball in as well.

And, of course, at just the right moment on the dot of half time.

 

Wow. What a way to kickstart the second half! It would have been awesome to finish that one off... or that one!

U.S. came close to proving two head(ers) are better than one.

 

There is the mystery yellow on Beckerman. Not a good call there. Beckerman now needs to watch himself as I think he's absolutely necessary for the Finals.

 

If the U.S. could score again, could he be important to sub out for Bob Bradley?

 

I would think it would be a consideration. He's been pretty good this whole tournament, and I think the most pleasant surprise on this team.

 

Personally, I think the drop-off is too much. The US needs two before it thinks about it. Pause is barely handling his own with all the help.


Also, what a great catch by Perkins on that shot/cross. He's having a real good game.
