I'm an early bird. I couldn't stay up late to watch the other game. I'll try to get some highlights today to see how it all went down. Its pretty wild that it went to penalty kicks.

Costa Rica isn't a bad team and Mexico has one of their best line-ups out there. They were trying to get some game time in to get their team back in line.

Sunday is going to be an all out battle. I'm just hoping the US goes in strong.

Giants stadium is nearly sold out already. Sure, it may end up with a larger amount of Mexican fans, but I have a feeling that the NYC Sam's Army will be quite vocal.

X-rays on my ankle came back negative. Thankfully, nothing is broken. However, the torn ligaments still hurt like a bitch. I'll likely suck up the pain with some Advil on Sunday so that I can bounce around and sing. Then I'll watch my ankle swell up like a beach ball as it did last Saturday.

    'Mon the USA!!!!!!!

    Awesome. :)

Good news Kopites. Steven Gerrard has been cleared of affray after some fisticuffs in a nightclub.

Sorry. I tend to get carried away with certain objects of my hatred. Actually, I'm surprised I've made it this far on this thread without being called out.

That's some good stuff. At least the fans won't be on the flight, which will keep the garbage cleanup down to a dull roar.

For goodness sakes, Celtic, have some pride in what you wear.

Actually, they are back because the fans demanded them. I won’t say that I’m a fan of that, but if their fans like it…

Similarly, Rangers went with the throwback as well…

Here is the new 2009 kit sported by my boy, Edu:

Yeah, I'll be buying that with an Edu 2 on the back when I'm over there in a few weeks.

The Rangers one isn't bad. At least it's in the traditional colors.

Celtic's gives Newcastle's new away kit, and others, a real run for their money.

This Scotland one springs to mind.

As does this abomination from Chelsea.

So they're staying down an extra season? Usually these jerseys go for two-year cycles....

Wow, sweet run by Barcelona's Toure to set up Messi for an opener against Spurs.

Wembley Cup, live on ESPN Deportes right now.

A buddy of mine still wears this one all the time. It is the original bumblebee kit for them…

It looks to me like they sent it out with a stain on it. But that is just me…

Are you saying Celtic are getting relegated?
