Back to MLS for a minute...

At this link you can see the construction of the new Red Bull Arena. I just can't wait until this thing is finished.

Aside from proximity, I just can't wait to be able to get out of Giants Stadium!

I was just rooting around looking for bad kits, and Everton seems to be going to the 'everything old is new again' template as well.

Because that massive white 'V' looked so good in the 80s, they couldn't help but bring it back.

Well, maybe they realize they're going down to League One, and wanted to have an extra-ugly one to commemorate the occasion.

That looks like it's going to be pretty damn good when it opens. Is everything still on schedule for next season?

Surprisingly, it is on schedule! The location is fantastic for anyone that takes mass transit in the City (and for me). Every so often, I'll pass by and just drool.

You're not the only one who gets "carried away" when it comes to USA vs. Mexico (and the rest of the region).

I usually just chalk it up to typical fan stuff, showing little to no respect for the opponent. I don't think the USA fanbase (and team) has earned that right, but I also understand the enjoyment that comes from denigrating the other guy's team.

Anyway, I'm not sure we should automatically expect a final win from this group of MLSers. No matter the demographics of the crowd, the team hasn't lost to Mexico on US soil in a long time. And some feel this might be the year to beat Mexico in Azteca.

But I would guess that Mexico knows this is decidedly the US B/C team. Hell, it might be fun to see Mexico get one back, stoke the rivalry a little more and make that Azteca game huge for the US psyche.

Seriously. This tournament doesn't mean a damn thing. But an angry US team, truly motivated beyond all reason to get a point at Azteca, and not willing to just say "Well, we'll pick up these points elsewhere" . . . I'd like to see that.

As someone risking further injury by jumping up and down during the attendance of Sunday’s game, I do not in any way, shape or form want to see the US lose. I want to be able to walk out of there singing Dos A Cero!

Belize will not stand for this insult.

Wait, Belize can stand up now? Isn't that cute.

Damn you, GB. That bit about the Bhoys was offside.
