I just saw that, myself and was coming here to talk about it.

I think there is a possible three ways Bradley could go with this:
    1. Conor Casey comes in to battle it out with Ching.
    2. Kenny Cooper shows up from the island of misfit strikers.
    3. Marcus Tracy's name is called functioning as Viagra for tens of BigSoccer posters.

Personally, I see Casey getting pulled in.

Hopefully Eddie will be fit. Terry will likely play in the FA Cup final.

Isn't there a German striker in the Bundesliga with an American uncle or half-cousin or...something?!

Sign him up! Come on! There's still 4-5 weeks.

I don't think Kenny Cooper has any chance of a call-up. Wouldn't be surprised to see Adu brought in ahead of Casey, played 76 minutes today in the Greek playoffs, has been getting more playing time of late.

There'll be a Premier League debutant again next year, and the league may get its first Welsh team. Cardiff beat Leicester on penalties and will play Blackpool in the final. If I had to guess, the Premier League is probably on Blackpool's side, and the Championship is probably on Cardiff's; Cardiff have some pretty unsavoury fans, and matches against Swansea are no barrel of laughs.

At least Cardiff finally got a new stadium; for a while Ninian Park was the only stadium in the top two leagues allowed to have terracing. I can't imagine that would have been allowed in the Prem.

Well stated as usual, Desk. Rangers-Celtic gets all the pub, but this is one of the more underrated, understated death rivalries in all sports. Four-Four-Two did a nice piece on this several months ago.

Desk, what are the odds the winner of this little tete-a-tete actually stays up? Or will we once again hear that wonderful ditty "Down with the Baggies... Down with the Baggies, you go..." (to the tune of "Roll Out The Barrel") come next May?

If Cardiff gets promoted, I don't think the English FA or the Prem bosses can used "English" as an excuse to keep Rangers and Celtic out if there was a serious push for them to join.

They'd just have to come out and say "We don't want you in because we figure you'll stay up and two smaller teams won't have a chance."

Went to the RBNY US Open Cup match today.

Maybe 2,000 fans, if that. They should't charge for the match -- if they opened it up to season ticket holders for free, they would make way more in beer and hot dogs.

I honestly don't think many soccer fans, even somewhat knowledgeable ones, get the US Open Cup.

When you have an MLS team playing, let's say Charleston Battery for example, they can't grasp that it's actually a meaningful match.
