My kingdom for a 3XL jersey.

Of course I could do a better job losing weight so I could fit in a human being jersey, but I don't hold out much hope of getting there by June 12.

Although Klinsmann would be a good get, judging by his results last time out, but I've always said for major nations I'd like to see the national team manager fall under the same umbrella as the players. You have to qualify to be from there (or however you want to say it).

Yeah, Bora got us there in 94, but a nation the size of the U.S. doesn't need a foreign coach. England doesn't need a SGE. The Russians shouldn't have to keep going to Holland. It's the national team. Require it to be made up of nationals.

If Guam or Estonia need a foreign manager, fine, but say, top 50 maybe, nations shouldn't need that.

Interesting rumor from Grant Wahl regarding Jozy Altidore's club status:

Not surprised. I'm hearing that Everton is interested in @JozyAltidore17 RT @ColinUdoh Yakubu says he is definitely moving.

I just don't see it with Jozy. He shows flashes, but he couldn't get on the pitch for a crap EPL team and scored only a couple of goals.

Maybe the fact that they were crappy - and perhaps crappily run - was the reason he couldn't get on the pitch.

Did you realize Jozy was in the league's top 20 in assists?
More than Stevie G, for goodness sakes.
Jozy must have done something right.

Per Soccernet, he had 3 assists last year and Stevie G had 7.

I'm not saying that Jozy won't be OK, and his team certainly was poor, but did you ever watch him will Hull and think that he was anything special?

A forward is only as good as his service.

In an event I didn't have any idea was occurring today, France won the right to host Euro 2016. Apparently the other bidders were Italy and Turkey.

So apparently Pompey's U.S. tour will consist of a game against Club America in San Diego on July 14, a game in Edmonton against an "Edmonton select side" on July 21 and a game at either D.C. United or the Portland Timbers on July 24.

And today my new jersey arrived. I was expecting it next week. WorldSoccershop.com rocked.

Millwall has been promoted to the championship. Damn shame West Ham didn't get relegated from the Prem.
