It is, but flipping over to FSC for Aston Villa-Wigan in no-def is like changing the channel to a hangover.

Fox Soccer will be in HD by the end of 2010.

OK, I slept through the EPL debut on ESPN2. Who called the action? The international feed crew or ESPN guys in Bristol?

Nothing from Bristol, not even halftime show.

A second win away from home in two tries for the mighty Havant & Waterlooville, this time 2-1 away to Staines Town. Seven points from three games!

Villa lose at home to Wigan, 2-0. And Portsmouth lose to Fulham, 1-0. Oh. What a shock. I am, uh, beyond surprised.

First half at Goodison: Everton 0-3 Arsenal.

The ESPN broadcast was absolutely beautiful.

Now hopefully everything goes smooth with FSC's transition to HD.

Eff Yeah. Arsenal stomping Everton, 3-0 at the half. Howard's had no chance after three defensive boners led to goals from unlikely sources — Denilson, Vermalean and Gallas, in order (I know ... WTH?).

At any rate, No Nasri, No Walcott, no problem. Hopefully everyone else comes back healthy, and this is a nice season for the Gunners. Huge CL opener(s) against Celtic coming up, too.

    Make it 4 for Arsenal.

Cesc the Magnificent with two more, and it's 5-0.

And Nasri, Walcott and others aren't even out there today, suckas!

Holy shit, I just realized freaking Eduardo didn't play the first 75 minutes, either.

To quote Carl from Aqua Teen Hunger Force, "This is freaking awesome!"

And because I enjoy nothing more than throwing out random facts about non-league football:

The EPL began today, as we all know. But also beginning this weekend? The FA Cup.

203 ties in the Extra-Preliminary round, featuring such matchups as Norton & Stockton Ancients v Pickering Town, Jarrow Roofing Boldon CA v Armthorpe Welfare and Wembley v Basildon United.

    Only 13 wins from Wembley!
