How France hasn't fired Domenech by now, I don't know.

Big results for the Irelands, as well. Republic beat Cyprus 2-1, and with Italy playing Bulgaria on Wednesday, they'll either be 5 points clear of Bulgaria or 1 or 2 points behind Italy.

Northern Ireland gets a draw away to Poland and stays alive in probably the most competitive UEFA group. Another big game at home to Slovakia on Wednesday.

Fascinating bit of trivia I just heard:

Can you name the only club to have scored 1,000 goals in each of the top four divisions in England?

    That was really pathetic.

That's more like it! Beautiful header by Dempsey.

On a complete tangent, I played enough goalie to dislike they way offside is called on a play like that. Dempsey was on, but three other guys were offside on that play, and the goalkeeper still has to account for them.

Oh hell yes. My heart can stop racing now. We need to pour it on in the second half.

PC - I'm following on twitter. Nice goal by Jozy?

OUTstanding goal by Jozy, who probably should have had at least one more and possibly another.

Well, that was a horseshite "offside" call that took Jozy's second goal away.
