I think it was the drop-off. Beasley came in to replace Robben. His first season was rather slick but after that he became a bit enigmatic. He was also a bit injured. So onto Man City, where he was injured and then when he played was hot and cold.

He's a streaky player. I am guessing that Eindhoven was just looking to move on.

Go to www.usllive.com to watch some of the Open Cup games. Seattle is absolutely destroying Colorado tonight. 2-0 after 24:00

Must've been a panic buy by Roma. Their scouts couldn't possibly see anything in him.

Don't forget -- European teams were fighting over this kid before he came to MLS. If a club like Roma is willing to give him a shot after his injuries and Sigi disease, there must be something to him besides a Polish passport. He'll get loaned out to a Serie B club, become versed in the dark arts and come back to the team just in time for its late-season collapse (thus handing the Scudetto back to Juve).

Injuries, minor legal troubles and a disagreeable manager ... hardly earth-shattering stuff. Beasley gets a fresh start, European exposure and — most importantly — gets far, far away from the Citeh circus.

It's 5-0 to the Sounders with five minutes to go ... I think this officially qualifies as a pimp-slapping.

Elsewhere, Carolina beat Richmond 1-0 to reach the semifinals. FC Dallas came from behind to beat Charleston 2-1 in extra time, so they'll play Seattle in the first semifinal. New England and Harrisburg City (a USL-2 club) play tomorrow for the right to meet Carolina in the other semifinal.

Anyone else think this is where Fernando Clavijo gets off. I mean, 5-0 to a USL team, plus terrible form in MLS....They need a change.

It seems unrealistic, but hell, maybe it's time to give Fabio Capello a ring...

Can't hurt to ask, but Kroenke has a better chance of finishing his Arsenal takeover.

If you read down into the comments on SBI's Szetela-to-Roma thread, apparently the latest hot rumor is Benny Feilhaber to Derby County. Why? Hell if I know.

I guess Billy Davies has a hankering for young American players.

Or at least players he thinks might not mind going straight back down to the Fizzy Drink League.

It seems, from what I read, that Colorado doesn't want to pay two coaches over the same period of time. That is very embarrassing. They just can't act that cheap.

I will be owning that #20 kit.

Well, that is dependant upon the third kit that comes out. If the third kit is nicer, that is the one that will have Beasley on the back.
