I was giving him the benefit of the doubt, but yeah, it definitely was close. Even on the replay it was difficult to tell.

According to Ives' website, Szetela could still move in the summer window if Roma and Columbus can agree on what he calls "a small transfer fee."

It'd be nice to see him somewhere where he could make an impact, like Chievo, Ravenna or even Bari.

Missing the obvious PK for Landon earlier was a much worse call.

Awesome quote on Sky Sports last night from Leeds manager Dennis Wise, complaining after Leeds had a 15-point deduction upheld.
"They've not only cut me arms and legs off, they cut me balls off as well."
You don't see THAT on SportsCenter!

ABC 7 in DC has a video (and that is the link). It is interesting that they interviewed a friend of mine. What I didn't like was that everyone was listed as "Beckham Fan." The one woman goes on to say how great it is that the money is going to DC United yet she is also listed as a "Beckham Fan."

It's about the time for pre-season predictions. So here goes.

    Premier League champion: Manchester United

    Champions League: Liverpool, Chelsea, Tottenham

UEFA Cup: Arsenal, Newcastle, West Ham

    Relegated: Wigan, Derby, Birmingham.

    Elsewhere: Serie A: AC Milan

    La Liga: Barcelona

    Bundesliga: Bayern Munich

In actual news, I wonder what the USL Seattle Sounders think of this after their week.

It makes sense as a market, bringing the West to eight teams. All you then need is another in the East to complete expansion for the time being.

If the Sounders don't become the MLS team in Seattle, it's a traveshamockery.

    My picks...
    EPL: ManU, Liverpool
    CL: Chelsea
    UEFA: Tottenham, Bayern Munich

Inky, since you're giving props to my Liverpool gang,
are you also picking the Steelers in the Super Bowl?

Once Vancouver gets its new stadium they will be the second Canadian team in the MLS. Seattle is long over do for a team

Ok, so if Vancouver gets a team as well, does MLS cap the league at 18 teams, nine in each conference, and switch to a straight home and home regular season? And if so, which cities join the Eastern Conference?

I know Philadelphia would be a spot MLS would like to get into. Where esle might take the plunge? Cleveland with Randy Lerner setting up Aston Villa USA?

Are you asking Inky the fanboy looser or objective Inky?
