I just got done watching the DVR of that. Hahnemann and Duberry were outstanding for Reading. You see that goal by Gerrard, Doc?

Yeah, I DVR'd it and watched it this morning. Go Reds!

I was disappointed for Fulham today. That PK and the ensuing fracas completely swung the game the other way.

And Hahnemann put on the most impressive opening weekend performance I saw.

Pastor should be happy with how well Red Bull played today. Altidore and Angel both found the net against Toronto.

Doesn't say much. There are teams in the USL Second Division that Toronto would struggle against.

Watched the Red Bull game today. Found it impossible to follow with way field was lined for football.

When ball crossed football sideline it seemed like it was OB . It seemed like the players were confused also.

During game they mentioned that Beckham was acratched against NO .

Toronto is a fine team at home, and very bad on the road.

4 wins, 4 losses, 1 tie at home; 1 win, 6 losses, 4 ties on the road. At home, they've beaten Dallas and Houston, so far from pushovers.

And Beckham is scratched, Twellman's scored to give New England a 1-0 second half lead. L.A. needs to pull its collective finger out, otherwise they're not going to make the playoffs.

    I'm looking at you Landon.

My impression of Galaxy is that the players they've had up to this point are afraid to be bold. They looked a lot better with Becks in the midfield Thursday.

So what the heck was that against Dallas in the SuperLiga? Was it close enough to the southern border for Donovan to think he was in Mexico and show up?

Luck. Galaxy got a bunch of goals early, then spent most of the rest of the game trying not to grab its collective throat. Hell, Dallas outshot LA 25-8 that day.

Doesn't mean he did't play an excellent game and looked like he cared.

NE wins 1-0. LA is starting to look like they won't make the playoffs. Games in hand are no good if you get no points out of them.

Newcastle United, top of the table...HOWAY!

Three goals early on into the Big Sam era, going to be a great season.
