Rooney's foot was fractured when stepped on today. Yikes, again?!

Does Beckham have a no trade clause or could he be traded to a playoff team?

I doubt LA would trade Beckham for the sole reason that he be able to play in the playoffs this season.

If he's healthy by then, he'll be with England for at least part of the playoffs on International duty.

That's England done, then. Who do they start up top against Russia and Israel, Bent and Crouch?

Great article from today's Boston Globe by John Powers.
    No cynicism.
    No sneering.
Just an honest assessment of Beckham's impact to date, very knowing and nicely written.
Almost makes you wonder if immigration will come knocking on his door to check his citizenship papers.

That was a weak performance by Man United. They were more like Arsenal -- all pretty passes and smug satisfaction, but no end product.

    Michael Owen's still around.
And, whether or not it was a mistake to include him on the 2006 WC roster, Theo Walcott sure looked like a handful v. Fulham Sunday. Not having Rooney hurts, but it's not an excuse for not taking points in those two games.

Sorry, GB, I should have replied sooner. Garber is on record as saying that he wants 18. I believe FIFA has it down as 18 is what a league should have. Then again, MLS will never have promotion and relegation so you never know if they will try to expand beyond. There has been no mention of going above 18, but that is how all things are.

Yes, I was quite happy. I was rather hung-over on Sunday so I didn't partake too much in the game day festivities, besides eating and drinking a bit, but I enjoyed what I saw. Angel's goal was nice. Altidore's two were just money.

Toronto brought down a good contingent of fans. I was happy that they were able to watch their team get dismantled.

    This just in...
Hearts have a new manager, again. The Daily Mail has the story:

Holy fuck this team has just become a joke.

Q: Why did so many EPL-ers have on LiveStrong bracelets this weekend? Even guys fully outfitted in adidas were wearing them.

They were making themselves heard on the boradcast, one that came across loud and clear, even when they were 3-0 down, was:

Can you hear the Red Bulls sing, No, No
Can you hear the Red Bulls sing, No, No
Can you hear the Red Bulls sing, I can't hear a fucking thing,
    Oooooooooh...Sshhhhhhh
