Yep, better known to most Americans as "Andy Gray, that Scottish dude who does commentary on all the EA Sports soccer games."

On the heels of their agreement with MLS, Barcelona will play Chivas Guadalajara in Chicago and Red Bull New York at the Meadowlands in a preseason tour. Get your tickets now Pastor!

I received tickets for this game with my season tickets. August 6th isthe date.

I don't like that it is a Wednesday, but I do like the possibility of flipping them.

Anbody have any ideas where Michael Bradley will end up? And does anybody think Altidore or any other young U.S. players will move this summer?

Beasley's inclusion in the roster against Spain makes it increasingly unlikely that he'll be drinking with me next week.

I am saddened by this news.

There has been some interest in England, but it is undetermined exactly which team will buy out his rights.

I just wish his father would play him in a more attacking role to see what he can do.

The word I heard on Bradley was Everton was looking to bring him in to boost their midfield. If Gareth Barry ends up at Liverpool, Aston Villa might also be a candidate to swoop in for him.

I am curious to see how the new FIFA ruling affects all this transfer talk...

It won't. The European Union has already said it won't allow it to happen since it would be a restraint of trade for all European players.

They might get it for the African and South American players in European leagues, but you're still going to see Arsenal, Chelsea, Man United, Real Madrid, Barcelona et al. starting a ton of Euros that aren't natives.

And that's exactly the problem. In the EU, there effectively are no nationalities, at least not in the bigger countries. There are still limits on some of the newer EU countries, but in most of the EU, citizens have the right to work wherever they want. As you said, they could do it with Africa and South America, but they ain't gonna get away with it otherwise.

They might be able to do what the Champions League does with homegrown players, but that's for the entire squad of 25. There's no limits on who you can play in the games themselves.

At least that's my understanding. Correct me if I'm wrong.

England's named its captain for Sunday's game with Trinidad and Tobago.

    Mr. David Beckham.

    I thank you.
