    Awesome.

Doesn't matter. I'll be there anyway.

He's probably available, he looked pretty good trotting off the field after getting his ankle iced last night.

However, he has already voiced his dislike for the artificial surfaces. I'd say he'll play, maybe for a half to an hour again, but they might limit it because of the fieldturf.

I'm sure he skipped New England because of the surface.
(Should have predicted here, because I just knew).

I was at HDC and I don't think that 17,000 was off too far. If HDC holds 27,000, it was easily 63% full. The east upper deck was closed, the north end was 100% packed, the west side was moderately filled, the south end was moderately filled and the east field level was pretty full midway thru the first half.

We guessed 17,000 as the attendance halfway thru the game, fwiw.

The game wasn't part of the original season ticket package, it was poorly advertised, and Beckham's announcement to play didn't hit the papers until yesterday morning.

Uggh, the Revs are getting manhandled 3-0 in Colorado tonight. Should've been a game to win, but they haven't been able to get any coherent passing going (though not having Ralston tonight hasn't helped). Kirovski's scored twice for the Rapids, Conor Casey's been a force, and Colin Clarke has dominated on the flank. Not to mention Tony Sanneh is back playing in MLS for the Rapids.

    Kirovski? Casey? Sanneh?

Did I fall asleep and wake up in 2003?

Sanneh was supposed to sign with RBNY. He was even training with them when his rights were traded to Colorado. RBNY never obtained his rights and were unable to make a move to bring him in.

NY Metro Paper has two articles, one centering on Beckham, one on Jozy.

NYTimes Goal Blog: Bradley names roster for Sweden.
Goalkeepers: Marcus Hahnemann (Reading, England), Tim Howard (Everton)
Defenders: Carlos Bocanegra (Fulham, England), Jonathan Bornstein (Chivas USA), Steve Cherundolo (Hannover, Germany), Jay DeMerit (Watford, England), Oguchi Onyewu (Standard Liege, Belgium), Jonathan Spector (West Ham, England)
Midfielders: DaMarcus Beasley (Glasgow Rangers, Scotland), Michael Bradley (Heerenveen, Netherlands), Bobby Convey (Reading, England), Clint Dempsey (Fulham, England), Benny Feilhaber (Derby, England), Pablo Mastroeni (Colorado)
Forwards: Landon Donovan (Los Angeles), Charlie Davies (Hammarby, Sweden), Kamani Hill (Wolfsburg, Germany), Josh Wolff (1860 Munich, Germany), Sal Zizzo (Hannover, Germany)

I underland the players that were interesting additions. I find it odd that Zizzo is added but Jozy is not. No problem though.

England's squad has been announced as well, with Beckham included in the squad. I'm sure the Chivas-Galaxy game on ESPN2 next Thursday will still be a good one, but it would have been cool to see Beckham be a part of it.

John Terry was also included, although it's not know if he'll play a role. Sol Campbell and David James both get recalls.

Actually McClaren said that he called Beckham and explained to him why he was not called into the squad.
